The Founder
Dr. Ekkehard Overbeck is working in the photonic industry since 1998. Before that time he worked in research at University of Mainz Germany, where he did his Doctor degree (PhD) in Physics (soft condensed matter) developing a novel 3D-light scattering apparatus.
He gained a deep understanding of the European and global photonics market working for a German distributor as European Sales Manager. During this time he was responsible for all active and passive optical components.
As European Sales Director at a global optics company in the UK he expanded and deepened his knowledge about actual production of optics and larger photonic systems. As he was responsible for the global forecast he learned a lot about the global photonic market.
He always was managing a team of four to eight people and motivated them to work successfully in sales, business development and project management.
